Objective
We have created an Integrated Thematic Unit involving art centered around Ecology that are relevant to the following subjects:
Spanish: In Spanish III, students learn a unit about the environment, pollution, and the subjunctive and conditional tenses
Science: Land and water pollutions effect on the food chain
Math: Evaluate the economic feasibility of suggested plans to reduce pollution
Science will tie in a comparison of environmental issues in Spanish speaking countries, such as Mexico. This will help students get an understanding of the culture and politics. Students in Spanish class need to have an understanding of Ecology such as the negative effects of pollution on the food chain or our oceans. Lastly, students will need to have Math reasoning skills to come up with a realistic and budget friendly idea to help reduce pollution all over the world.
